The same thing happened to my friend in Kansas. They told her it was either HIV or Cancer and when she called my dad (who is a psychiatrist but knows his meds) to see if she could drink alcohol while taking prescribed antibiotics he asked her to describe her symptoms and diagnosed her with Cat Scratch fever.
