I guess I was one of about 30 people there because of this post. When Ben was little, she was all I had to hold on to besides "Rain Man"...the sum of what I knew about autism when Ben was first diagnosed. Although she doesn't seem to have the heart for the severely autistic like most neurodiversity proponents do, I believe she is open to it as evidenced by her interest in Augmented Communication. Scientifically, we are in the dark ages as far as understanding...and she would propel us in the right direction. I think she is an ally. Thanks.
