Part 1 of 15 in the series distracted by haiku

echolalia
it means to repeat something
echolalia

why am i writing?
sudden interest in haiku
what’s going on here?

my head is too full
i need to let some words out
to make room for more

it clutters my mind
this thing that is the screaming
i am tired of it

in a flash i am
no longer me, but aspie
confused; there’s no cure

i can’t remember
what i was doing just now
my mind is broken

i don’t want to test
i want to learn karate
without any stress

i know this is gay
but it’s a fun way to say
what gets in the way

thinking in numbers
it’s fun counting syllables
words are what comes out

this story is done
coming out of my fingers
it’s an accident

echolalia
repeat echolalia
echolalia

chaos
Part 14 of 15 in the series distracted by haiku

chaos is in me
one step closer to the edge
trying not to fall

chaos confuses
wraps word order wrong and fails
to stop the echo

chaos surrounds me
closing in fog and laughing
when i disappear
